Dorothy M. Krampert, 96, of Butler died Wednesday morning at her home.

She was born in Butler on Feb. 28, 1913, a daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Neigh Beneigh.

Dorothy had married twice. Her first husband, Raymond O. Niggel, died April 26, 1946. In 1955, she married George J. Krampert, who died Jan. 17, 1973. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

She had been a salesperson at the former Niggel Brothers Meat Market on New Castle Street in Butler, which was operated by her husband and his brother, Carl. Following that, she had worked at Griffins Meat Market on West Brady Street.

She was a member of the St. Peter Catholic Church in Butler, the Women's Council of St. Peter's and the Phase II group at the church.

For the past couple years, she was a volunteer for the Butler County Historical Society.

For many years, Dorothy owned a cottage on the Allegheny River at East Brady and enjoyed spending time and weekends there.

Surviving are her sister, Mildred Collins of Butler, and several nieces and nephews.

<B>Krampert</B> Friends of Dorothy M. Krampert, who died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. The Rev. Pierre Falkenhan, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Parish Cemetery, Butler.The Women's Council of St. Peter will meet at 9:10 a.m. Saturday at the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
