The Rumble Car Show will return to its original home along the streets of Mars.

At the Mars borough council’s meeting on Monday, Feb. 19, organizers John Podolak, of After Hours Tattoo Studio, and Natasha Smith, of Social Club Grooming Co. got the green light to bring the popular classic car show back to Mars this July.

The Rumble Car Show began in 2019 along the streets of Mars. It quickly became a sprawling event, with the borough practically shutting down as classic car enthusiasts traveled across the country to mingle.

For the fourth edition of the Rumble show last year, the organizers moved the show to the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company event grounds. At the time, they said they wanted to move to a larger space.

This year, the duo wants to bring the event back home.

“This is just where it belongs, where we want to have it,” Podolak said. “Everybody's business is down here. It helps supports all the businesses. So that's why we would like to have it back in Mars.”

Plans for the show have not yet been finalized. However, Podolak said there will be food vendors and live music, as were featured at previous editions of the Rumble.

“We’re just bringing everything back home to Mars like it used to be,” Podolak said.

One of the few details known about the show so far is that the parking lot of the Advance Community Church on Grand Avenue is expected to be used as a staging ground for the show, the organizers said.

The Rumble Car Show is scheduled for July 27.
