Nancy Mae Hughes, 89, of Zelienople, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Born Sept. 13, 1934, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Matthew W. Zunic and Molly Engel Zunic.

Nancy was a faithful member of Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople. She formerly worked as a bank teller. Above all, Nancy loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Deborah (John) Weber of Florida, James M. (Ruth) Hughes Jr. of Zelienople and Scott (Sheryl) Hughes of Florida; her grandchildren, Amy (Michael) Carrasquillo, John Weber, Kelly (Chris) Lies and Pixie Hughes (companion, DeVon Juliano); her great-grandchildren, Daniel and Isabella Carrasquillo; and her brothers, William Zunic and James (Sue) Zunic.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Martin Hughes Sr., who passed away on April 16, 2015; her brother, David Zunic; and her granddaughter, Mary Ann Elizabeth Hughes.

HUGHES — Friends of Nancy Mae Hughes, who died Saturday, March 9, 2024, will be received for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the blessing service at noon Wednesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

Nancy will be laid to rest beside her husband at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Warrendale.
