Ruth A. Duffy
Ruth A. Duffy passed away peacefully on Saturday at the age of 80.
She was born June 2, 1937, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Ruth and James Kintz.
Ruth married Tom Duffy in 1957 at the United Presbyterian Church, and they recently celebrated their 60-year anniversary.
Ruth graduated from Butler High School in 1955, and had a long career as a bookkeeper before retiring as an executive secretary.
She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, bridge, reading novels and traveling.
She was a member of the Maqueda Chapter 421 Order of the Eastern Star in Butler.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Tom; her three children, Robert (Bernice) Duffy of Medina, Ohio, Deborah (Kenneth) Daywalt of Smyrna, S.C., and Jennifer (Brian) Borawiec of Cortland, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Sandra (Michael) Montgomery.
She was preceded in death by one grandson.
