Robert D. Malinak

Robert D. Malinak, 75, of Butler passed away Thursday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born in Rimersburg on Aug. 23, 1935, he was the son of the late John and Anna Petrycki Malinak.

He was employed as a security guard for the Butler Area School District for 12 years. Before that, he was employed at Pullman Standard for 18 years until the plant closed.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. Bopp Malinak, who he was married to for 42 years; one son, Christopher R. Malinak of Butler; one brother, Ken Malinak and his wife Linda of North Washington; three sisters, Joan Dowdy and her husband Thomas of Florida, Barbara Graham and her husband Robert of California and Sandra Pichler of Prospect; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Malinak.

<B>MALINAK</B> — Friends of Robert D. Malinak, who died Thursday, April 7, 2011, will be received in the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.Services will follow at 5 p.m. Sunday.Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery.For more information, visit www.martinfh.net.
