Amelia McKivigan

Amelia C. McKivigan, 87, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of Butler, passed away Monday at Mt. Carmel St. Anne Hospital in Ohio.

Born Aug. 17, 1927, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Christopher B. and Goldie Rose (Huslinger) Stock.

She was employed as a long distance phone operator by Bell of Pennsylvania and Ohio Bell phone companies. She had dedicated 38 years of service.

She was a member of The Pioneers Club for the phone company. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling in their Airstream “The Gypsy” travel trailer.

Surviving are her husband, George E. McKivigan, who she married July 22, 1947; four children: Beverlee Sabetta of Westerville, Ohio, James McKivigan of Las Vegas, Nev., Brian McKivigan of Akron, Ohio, and Lisa Mckivigan of Tallmadge, Ohio; one grandson, Dean R. (Tracy) Sabetta of Pickerington, Ohio; one granddaughter, Kelly Wolcott; one great-granddaughter, Madison Sabetta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher B. Stock Jr. and Regis H. Stock.

MCKIVIGAN — Friends of Amelia C. McKivigan, who died Monday, June 21, 2015, will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler, PA 16001.Interment will follow at the St. Peter Cemetery.
