Joan Ann (West) Rae, 62, of New Sewickley Township passed away peacefully Sunday surrounded by her loving family.

Born Dec. 4, 1953, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Libera J. (Libby Bianco) and William G. West.

Joan was the loving mother of Rachel Kresge (Jeff), Michele Chrostowski (Jeff) and Jennifer Rae (Kevin); the proud grandmother of Riley, Keagan, Ian, Sean, Luka, Madeleine and Josie; and the beloved sister of William G. West Jr. (Bernadette) and Robert L. West (Margaret).

She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joan was deeply devoted to her family. Her three daughters and seven grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was extremely considerate and compassionate to all living things. In turn, she was deeply loved by all who knew her. Her dedication, gentle and selfless nature, companionship, courage and infectious smile will be sorely missed, but forever remembered.
