Terry J. Galat, 61, of Harmony died Thursday at Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.

Born Sept. 30, 1946, in Zelienople, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian Lutz Galat.

Terry was a 1964 graduate of Zelienople High School. He was a tech. sergeant in the Air Force, serving with the Security Police from 1964 to 1971 and serving in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1967.

He worked for Halstead Industries from 1971 to 1976 and the Postal Service from 1976 to 2001.

Terry enjoyed watching NASCAR races, lawn care, car detailing and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Gerry" Detwiler Galat, whom he married Dec. 16, 1972; two daughters, Paula Daniels and her husband, Bradley, of Negley, Ohio, and Rebecca Galat of New Brighton; two grandchildren, Jessica and Timothy Daniels of Negley, Ohio; and his twin brother, Gary Galat and his wife, Janet, of Portersville. He also is survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and in-laws.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Leona Lutz and his paternal grandparents, Zach and Anna Galat.

<B>GALAT</B> — Friends of Terry J. Galat, who died Thursday, July 17, 2008, will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter J.
