Frances L. Bratkovich, 79, of Kaylor, Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County, died Monday in Clarview Rest Home, Sligo.

Born in Bradys Bend, Oct. 25, 1926, she was the daughter of Antonio and Concettina D'Alano Colella.

Mrs. Bratkovich attended Pine Run School, Kaylor School and graduated from Karns City High School in 1946. She enjoyed playing bocce ball, working in her flower garden and cooking.

She worked at Modern Department Store in East Brady for years, and she also worked for the Armstrong School District in the cafeteria at East Brady High School.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, the Young at Heart Group and the Altar Rosary Society at St. Patrick, and the Sons of Italy Lodge 1484, Bradys Bend.

Surviving are her husband, Henry A. Bratkovich of Kaylor, whom she married June 18, 1949; two sons, Stephen M. Bratkovich and his wife Janet of St. Paul, Minn., and Alan A. Bratkovich of Libby, Mont.; three sisters, Susan Colella D'Atri of Independence, Ohio, Ann Sanelli Yates of Cleveland, Ohio, and Nancy Sanelli Matijak of Kaylor; three granddaughters, Holly Bratkovich of Bennington, Vt., and Amy and Emily Bratkovich, both of St. Paul, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Octavio Colella, Anthony Colella and Peter Sanelli.

<B>BRATKOVICH</B> — Friends of Frances L. Bratkovich, who died Monday, May 15, 2006, will be received at <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick Church, Bradys Bend, with the Rev. Anthony Ditto officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Bradys Bend.A parish prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
