Federal judge Ranjan to speak at GCC commencement
Federal district court judge J. Nicholas Ranjan, a member of Grove City College’s 2000 graduating class, has been announced as the commencement speaker for GCC’s graduation ceremony on May 18.
Ranjan took the bench as a district judge in 2019, after being appointed by then-President Donald Trump.
After his time at Grove City College, Ranjan also graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.
“Judge Ranjan is an extraordinarily talented lawyer who is employing his wisdom, temperament and commitment to the rule of law to serve the public of this region,” said college president Paul J. McNulty. “He is a credit to the legal profession and Grove City College, and we are proud and honored to have him speak to our graduates.”
The commencement ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18.
