Mary Theresa Hile

Mary Theresa Hile, 81, of East Brady died Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 27, 1936, in East Brady, she was the daughter of Merrell G. and Mary M. (Kelly) Hile.

Mary T. was a 1954 graduate of East Brady High School.

She worked for the local bank in East Brady as the head teller for 38 years.

She was a lifelong member of St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the former Ladies Guild, a money counter and cleaned and decorated the church for many years. She was also an instrumental part of the annual Turkey Bingo Raffle.

Mary T. was a member of the American Legion Post 488 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also the current minority inspector for the East Brady Borough Election Board, where she served for more than 25 years.

She enjoyed going to lunch with friends and playing cards.

Mary T. is survived by many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, James M. “Nat” Hile.

Hile, who died Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.A parish prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Eusebius Church with the Rev.
