Frank G. Gillette
Frank G. Gillette, 93, of Penn Township died Sunday evening at Concordia Personal Care Home in Cabot.
Born on May 29, 1918, in Emporium, he was the son of the late Joseph and Christina (Mazza) Gillette.
He was the beloved husband of Inez M. (Spahr) Gillette, who he married on July 28, 1951, and the loving father of Frank (Ginnie) Gillette of Cincinnati, Joseph (Maria) Gillette of West View, Allegheny County and Margaret (Mark) McGinley of Ohio Township, Allegheny County. He also is survived by eight grandchildren, Lauren, Michael, Nicholas, Benjamin, Katherine, Mark, Margaret and Hannah.
A World War II veteran, Frank served in the U.S. Air Force 301st Bomb Group in England, North Africa and Italy from October 1941 to November 1945.
For most of his working life, Frank was a union carpenter on a variety of commercial projects in the Pittsburgh area. He loved his work and retired at age 63 as a construction superintendent for the Navarro Corp.
Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, friend and role model and he will be sorely missed.

Gillette, who died Sunday, March 25, 2012, will welcome friends for one day of visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, Bakerstown. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Holy Sepulcher Church, Glade Mills, with Father John B. Gizler III as the celebrant.
