Austin McAnallen
Austin Douglas “Macky” McAnallen, 26, of West Sunbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, March 24, 2024, following a long and courageous battle with mental illness.
Austin was born in Butler on Aug. 19, 1997. He was the son of Douglas A. McAnallen of Butler and Veronica R. “Rhonda” Spiker McAnallen of West Sunbury.
Austin was a 2016 graduate of Moniteau High School and had been employed at To The Limit Motorsportz in Saxonburg. He was a talented artist. Austin was an avid car and dirt bike enthusiast and enjoyed working on motorcycles and cars, often calling upon his dad’s advice on fixing cars. He also enjoyed driving his Subaru, which he affectionately named “Roxanne,” as well as fishing, kayaking and the company of his friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Heather Allison, and her husband, Corey, of North Washington, and Diana Wulff of Butler; his nieces and nephew, Gracie, Emma, Liam and Sophia; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Austin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clayton and Mae Spiker; his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Ruth McAnallen; as well as four aunts; and a cousin.
MCANALLEN — Friends of Austin Douglas “Macky” McAnallen, who died Sunday, March 24, 2024, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at HILE FUNERAL HOME OF KARNS CITY, 128 Main St., Karns City. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Bishop Alan Ion, pastor of the Karns City Church of God of Prophecy, officiating.
