Glenn E. McKissick

Glenn E. McKissick, 64, of Hickory Hill Drive, Volant, Pa., died Monday afternoon at his home.

Born May 10, 1951, in New Castle, he was the son of the late W. Clifford and Norma Glasser McKissick. He married Susan D. Black on Jan. 28, 1974.

Glenn was a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite Church of New Wilmington. He retired from Slippery Rock Middle School, where he taught physical education and social studies. He coached boys baseball and football. He was an avid outdoorsman and accomplished craftsman.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Wade G. McKissick and his wife, Teresa, with their sons, Taylor and Ethan of New Wilmington and Cory M. McKissick of Neshannock; one daughter, Abby Sarver and her husband, Travis, with their daughter, Riley, of Volant; two sisters, Myrna Anderson-Young of Slippery Rock and Carole Morgan of Karns City; and one brother, Wayne McKissick of Greenville, Pa.

MCKISSICK — Visitation for Glenn E. McKissick, who died Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington.A celebration of life memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the East Brook Presbyterian Church, 3727 State Route 388, New Castle.Memorials may be given to the Maple Grove Mennonite Church, 3112 PA Route 956, New Castle, PA 16105 or to the American Cancer Society.
