Norman "Jake" Patton

Norman Z. “Jake” Patton, 80, of Middlesex Township passed away April 2 in the comfort of his home with his loving wife and two daughters by his side.

Jake retired after 44 years of service at the Glenshaw Glass Co. where he worked in several departments. He also was on the board of directors of G.G. Credit Union for 19 years. For about 11 years each, Jake also prepared taxes and was on the board for the National Association of Milk Bottle Collectors.

Jake is survived by his beloved wife, Wilma (Vaughn) Patton; three daughters, Debra Cegelskis, Diann Neal and Lisa (David) Christy; three stepchildren, Barbara Overby, William Taylor III and Todd Taylor; 13 grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Dillner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Martha (Brolley) Patton; two sisters; two brothers; and one granddaughter.

PATTON — A memorial service for Norman Z. “Jake” Patton, who died Thursday, April 2, 2015, will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church, 4765 S. Pioneer Road, Allison Park.He was privately laid to rest at Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Cheswick.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 3356 Babcock Blvd., Suite B, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or at hopehospicepgh.org.Arrangements have been entrusted to the King Funeral Home and Cremation Services.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Jake's family at www.kingfuneralhome.com.
