Donald P. Weiland

Donald P. “Sam” Weiland, 70, of Fenelton died at his home Friday.

He was born March 14, 1944, in Butler, the son of Harold and Etheldreda (Graham) Weiland.

Sam was a lifetime resident of the area. He graduated from Butler High School in 1962 and was employed as an accountant for Armco. Sam also was a former owner of County Line Tavern in Fenelton.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Coylesville. He was an avid golfer and a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Sam loved his cats, had a good heart and was a friend to many.

Sam will be deeply missed by his wife, Diane (Harris) Weiland, who he married Sept. 3, 1983; his daughters, Kristen Fairbend and her husband, Rick, of Cranberry Township and Erin Bowser and her boyfriend, Chris Weber, of North Huntington; his stepdaughter, Traci Bush and her fiance, Chuck Moody; his stepson, Robert Bush; his grandson, Hunter Bowser; his stepgrandson, Ean Jenkins; his brother, Raymond Weiland and his wife, Patty; and his sister, Nancy Coyle and her husband, James.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
