Betty L. Litz-Sullivan

Betty Louise Litz-Sullivan, 69, of Harmony died Monday surrounded by her family.

Born May 14, 1940, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Derwin D. and Nina Marie (Landsberry) Gilbert.

Betty owned the Dairy Queen in Harmony for 24 years.

She was very close to her family, and they always came first; but her friends were also like family to her.

Betty loved to travel, donated to many different organizations and prided herself in being a good grandma.

She is survived by her husband, Paul J. Sullivan Sr. of Harmony; three sons, Howard A. Litz of Erie, Mitchell C. Litz of Erie and John C. Litz of Butler; two daughters, DawLyn Litz of Butler and Dayna L. Walko of Slippery Rock; two stepsons, Paul J. Sullivan Jr. (Karen) of Pittsburgh and Henry J. Sullivan (Sue) of Peters Township; a stepdaughter, Adrianna M. Fedunak (Kenneth) of Scott Township; four brothers, Derwin D. Gilbert of Altoona, George R. Gilbert (Martie) of Altoona, Timothy Y. Gilbert of Lewistown and William Donnelly Jr. of Altoona; a sister, Thelma Irene Garmin of Altoona; 15 grandchildren, John, Malissa, Brian, Heather, Kyle, Joey, Cameron, Cassandra, Paul Jr., Shannon, Sean, Julie, Shane, Jessica and Zachary; and five great-grandchildren, Dakota, Dustin, Kendall, Ian and Katerina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

<B>Litz-Sullivan</B> — Friends of Betty Louise Litz-Sullivan, who died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Cherrie Andres, officiating. Friends please meet at the church.
