Emma R. Druschel, 81, of Perry Highway in Lancaster Township died Wedn-esday at the Ellwood City Hospital after a brief illness.

Born Feb. 28, 1926, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of Carl V. and Lena Burr Main.

She had worked at the Ellwood Knitting Mill.

Mrs. Druschel attended the Homewood United Methodist Church and was a volunteer with the Challenges Senior Center.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard L. Druschel; and four sons and three daughters-in-law, Richard and Valerie Druschel Jr. of Slippery Rock and David Druschel and his special friend, Debbie Gilbert, Donald and Barbara Druschel and Allan and Ann Druschel, all of Harmony; five grandchildren, Jordan, Daniel and Amber Druschel, Tracy Jenks and Stacey Fair, and three great grandchildren.

Also surviving are four sisters, Nina Freed, Carolyn Smith and Leona Zeigler, all of Ellwood City, and Madolyn Majors of Chewton, Lawrence County; and a brother, Madison Main of Ellwood City.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Lee Druschel; a brother, Bidwell Main, and a sister, Ethel Streckeisen Piper.

<B>DRUSCHEL </B>— Friends of Emma R. Druschel, who died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Marshall Funeral Home</B>, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Cherrie Andres, pastor of the Homewood United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Grace Bible Reformed Church Cemetery, Harmony.Memorial contributions may be made to the Homewood United Methodist Church, the American Heart Association or to Children's Hospital.
