City woman, 80, is hit by car
A Butler woman returning home from evening Mass was struck by a car shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday as she crossed Center Avenue.
Miriam Lippi, 303 Hickory St., was hit by a car after she left St. Michael's Church. City police, firefighters and ambulance services were called to the scene.
Lippi, 80, was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital and then to the trauma center at Allegheny General Hospital, where she was treated for a cut on her head.
She was released Sunday morning.
