Florence E. Markle, 91, of Sunnyview Home died at 4:35 p.m. Sunday at Sunnyview.

Born Oct. 6, 1916, in Butler, she was a daughter of David S. and Wilhelmina Voland Markle.

She had worked for American Standard Glass Industries in Ellwood City and then for the Estey Organ Co. in Harmony, retiring in 1981.

Miss Markle was a member of the North Street Christian Church.

She was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her caregivers, including two nieces, Mary L. Hoffman of Butler and Sharon D. Oesterling of Portersville; a nephew, Roger B. Tweed of Butler; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

As the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

<B>MARKLE</B> — There will be no public visitation or services for Florence E. Markle, who died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008. Burial was at the South Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, and information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
