Lippi

Miriam J. Lippi, 94, of Hickory Street, Butler, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born in Butler on April 24, 1929, she was the daughter of Carlo and Agatina (Rosellini) Lippi. She was a graduate of the Butler Area School District, and she owned and operated Lippi's Grocery on Hickory Street from about 1960 until her retirement in the early 1990s.

A devout Catholic, she was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Louis; and by her sisters, Flora and Alba. She is survived by a number of cousins, including Sandra Pontius of Butler, who was one of her caregivers.

LIPPI — Funeral services and burial for Miriam J. Lippi, who died Sunday, April 7, 2024, were private.

Ms. Lippi was a cat lover. Donations in her memory may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, a no-kill shelter.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
