Goldie Roseanna Barnett
Goldie Roseanna Barnett, 81, of Sunbury entered into God's care Wednesday at the Golden Living Center, Mansion, Sunbury, Pa.
Born Feb. 22, 1934, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Ellis Marvin and Goldie (Cousins) Artman.
Along with her former husband, William D. Barnett, Goldie was co-founder of the Winfield Auction Center in Winfield.
Goldie loved life and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved singing gospel music, doing crossword puzzles and sharing many life stories with family and friends.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Parquette of Selinsgrove, Mrs. Barbara (Timothy) Devane of Milton; one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Donna Barnett of Sunbury; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Doyle of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Mrs. Carol Jones of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, Mrs. Patricia (Robert) Blanton of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; and Mrs. Phyllis (Robert) Millis of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Henry and Gordon Robinson; her sister, Nora Smith; her son-in-law, Mark Parquette; and two great-grandsons, Marcus Hanford and Gavin Devane.
BARNETT — Friends of Goldie Roseanna Barnett, who died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Jerry Helman, pastor of Brookside Ministries Church, Shamokin Dam, Pa.
