Andrew G. “Andy” Walter, 81, of Valencia died Sunday morning in the comfort of his home.

Born in Pittsburgh on July 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Andrew George and Harriet Jane Coombs.

He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Air Force with the Strategic Air Command.

Andy was the owner and manager of Lake Arthur Family Campgrounds in Slippery Rock. He retired to care for his sisters, Harriet and Margaret.

He was a member of the Valencia United Presbyterian Church and also was a longtime member and enthusiast of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He enjoyed his breakfast club, traveling to many different places for breakfast with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Harriet and Margaret Walter; and his brother, Harley Walter.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.
