Gloria J. Dehus
Gloria J. Dehus, 74, of McGinley Road, Chicora, died at 2:43 p.m. Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Dehus was born in Springdale, Allegheny County, Dec. 11, 1936. She was the daughter of Paul Newton and Julia Anna Mooney Miller.
Gloria was a graduate of Springdale High School.
She was a Presbyterian.
A homemaker, she enjoyed the company of her family, especially her great-grandson, gardening, swimming in her pool at her home and baby-sitting many of the neighborhood children.
An avid Steelers fan, Gloria decorated a room in her home that was dedicated to the Steelers.
Gloria was married Sept. 12, 1959, to Earl W. Dehus Sr., who survives. Also surviving are two children, Earl W. “Skip” Dehus Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Chicora and Tammy L. Dehus and her significant other, Matt Strobel, of Butler; two grandchildren, Skip L. Dehus and Derrick L. Dehus; as well as a great-grandson, Ayden Dehus, all of Chicora.
Mrs. Dehus was preceded in death by twin brothers, Paul and Richard Miller.
