'Speak-Easy' jazz night to benefit health clinic

Jazz singer Antoinette will perform at a benefit for the Butler County Health Clinic April 26.

CRANBERRY TWP — The atmosphere of a 1920s “speak-easy” will be re-created for “An Evening of Cool Jazz” April 26.

Period beverages at a cash bar, food and live jazz are planned. Pittsburgh-area jazz singer Antoinette will be accompanied by jazz musicians.

Antoinette has performed in Pittsburgh and the tri-state area, New York, Chicago and California. She has done four CDs and has written several songs, including “Where Do We Go From Here,” which was recorded as a duet with Howard Hewett, lead singer of Shalamar.

The evening will run from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2000 Garden View Lane.

Tickets are $100 and are available by calling 724-841-0980, Ext. 101.

Proceeds will benefit the Community Health Clinic of Butler County, a nonprofit organization that provides primary health care to county residents ages 19 to 64 who have no other health care coverage and meet eligibility requirements.
