Rita R. Bly
Rita R. Bly, 63, of Grandview Avenue, Chicora, went to be with the Lord on Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Rita was born on July 13, 1950, in Kaylor, the daughter of Eugene and Almeda Wiles Kamerer.
She was a 1968 graduate of East Brady High School and a longtime member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Bradys Bend, as well as a member of the auxiliary to American Legion Post 488 in Bradys Bend. Rita enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and traveling, especially trips to Florida and Niagara Falls. She drove school bus for 17 years, most of that time spent working in the Karns City School District.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard M. Bly, who she married at St. Paul's United Church of Christ on June 12, 1970. Also surviving are a daughter, Tamra J. Hines and her husband, John M., of Medina, Ohio; two grandchildren, Zachary E. Hines and Ziva A. Hines; a step-grandson, Christian M. Hines of Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; a brother, Kenneth E. Kamerer of Chicora, as well as a number of a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Lynn, who died on Nov. 22, 1972, and a sister, Patricia Ann Evans, who died Jan. 11, 2006.
BLY — The friends of Rita R. Bly, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 128 Main St., Karns City, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Reformed Church, 887 St. Route 68, Bradys Bend. A funeral service will follow at the church at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
