Helen Louise Dieter
Helen Louise Brenner Dieter, 84, a resident of Copley, Ohio, for more than 36 years, died Tuesday surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
Born June 29, 1923, in Butler, she was the daughter of Kathryn and Clarence Brenner.
Helen was a longtime member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Akron. She also was very active in the Daughters of The American Revolution and served on the Women's Associate Board of the East Akron Community House.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, family and friends.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Wayne Roland Dieter, who she married July 1, 1950, in Butler; a son and daughter-in-law, Craig (Beth) of Walton, Ky.; daughters, Rebecca Dieter (Michael Hance) of Akron and Lesa Dieter (Mike Baker) of Cleveland, Ohio; a grandson, Scott Dieter of Walton, Ky.; and a brother, John Brenner of Richmond, Va.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Erickson; and infant twin children, Scott and Susan.
<B>DIETER</B> — Friends of Helen Louise Brenner Dieter, who died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the <B>Hummel Funeral Home</B>, 3475 Copley Road, Copley Ohio. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 224 W. Exchange St., Akron, with visitation from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the church. Cremation will follow, with interment at Evergreen Cemetery, New Bedford, Pa., at a later date.Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or the D.A.R.
