Check fraud reported in Worth Township
State police are investigating a report of check theft and fraud in Worth Township.
According to documents, a 66-year-old man sent a check in the mail in March to pay for a prescription.
Police said it was discovered the check was intercepted and cashed for a much higher value in Clearwater, Fla.
The incident is under investigation, police said.
