Dolores Antoinette Lapsansky
Dolores Antoinette Lapsansky, 89, of Cranberry Township passed away Thursday while in the comfort of her home.
Born on Feb. 3, 1925, in McKees Rocks, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Adella (Zielonowski) Simonovic.
Dolores retired from her job as a payroll clerk at the former Artificial Limb and Brace Co.
She was a part of the founding members of the TRY Cares organization, and was a longtime and faithful member of the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township.
Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Harry Michael Lapsansky, who she married on April 19, 1949, and who passed away on July 21, 2008.
She is survived by her two sons, Thomas J. Lapsansky of Cranberry Township, and Mark E. Lapsansky and his wife, Diana, also of Cranberry Township, and her sister, Lorraine (Simon) McNabb and her husband, James, of Virginia.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her son, Richard M. Lapsansky of Lisbon, Ohio, and her sister, Irene Fryz and her husband, Michael, of Pittsburgh.
Lapsansky — Dolores' family will welcome friends of Dolores Antoinette Lapsansky, who passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Wednesday at the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, with the Father John Gallagher celebrating. Friends are asked to please meet at the church.
