Emmabelle Hepler
Emmabelle Hepler, 81, of Fenelton died at 6 p.m. Sunday at her home after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 14, 1925, in Chicora, she was the daughter of George and Florence Emminger Barnhart.
She lived in Fenelton all her life. She was one of the oldest living members of the Fenelton United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Society; and until this year, she actively assisted in its public spaghetti dinners.
Mrs. Hepler retired in 1985 as a press operator at Castle Rubber in East after 26 years.
She enjoyed reading and her church activities. Her true avocation was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as "Nannie."
As a devoted mother, she is survived by three daughters, Darlene (Bill) Hewitt of Chicora, Noreen (Frank) Moculski of Butler and Dawn (Kevin) Mennor of League City, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Marylou Kirk, Dale Hutchinson, Dannie Lynn Dillman, Billie Ambrosko, Michele Hewitt, Deana Turner, Robert McIntyre Jr. and Cory, Kalissa and Collin Mennor; and 12 great-grandchildren, Billy and Katie Kirk, Heather, Danielle, Justin, Jarod and Aaron Hutchinson, Sydney and Peyton Turner and Lucas, Kiley and Kortlynn McIntyre.
She also is survived by two brothers, Robert and Thomas Barnhart, both of Fenelton; a sister, Peg Morrow of Fenelton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Robert Hepler; and two brothers, Paul and John Barnhart.
<B>HEPLER </B>— Friends of Emmabelle Hepler, who died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. Funeral ceremonies will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with her church pastor, the Rev. Sherry Cook, officiating. Burial will follow at the Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.
