Seneca Valley student places 2nd at Congressional Art Competition
Seneca Valley Senior High School student Jo Fernandez-Jenkins placed 2nd out of 73 entries from Pennsylvania’s 16th Congressional District in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition.
The winning entries were announced during a ceremony on Friday, May 3 at the Hope Center for Arts and Technology in Sharon, Pa., by U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th.
The competition fielded entries from every congressional district in all 50 states. The winner from Pennsylvania’s 16th Congressional District was Braiden Douds from Mercer Area High School.
By finishing 2nd, Fernandez-Jenkins will have her artwork displayed publicly at the Hope Center.
