Jennings Environmental Education Center will host an Environmental Scout Day
Nov. 5 for all scouts between the ages of 7 and 11.
Scouts will participate in two, one-hour, hands-on environmental education programs. These programs will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon and again from 1 to 3 p.m.
The suggested donation for this program is $1 per child, and group size is limited.
Boy Scout Den leaders and Girl Scout Troop leaders must pre-register their scouts by calling the center between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. by Oct. 5.

At the September meeting of Buffalo Township <b>Cub Scout Pack 557</b>, members were recognized for achievements earned during the summer months by attending various Cub Scout camps and pack functions.Webelos II Den members receiving recognition were Jeremy Babinsack, Jared Clinton, Philip Gigler, Gregory Huth, Jacob McGuire, Vinnie Michelangeli, Brandon Parker and Richard Vandruff.Members of Webelos I Den earning achievements were Eric Davis, Andrew Durst, Christopher Hitchens and Gavin Roenigk.Members of the Bear Den receiving achievements were Angelo Cicolini, Ben Goldinger and Jonathan Nigra.Wolf Den achievements went to Stephen Birkmeyer, Noah Bowser, Daniel Cicolini, Nick Colangeli, Isaac McGuire, Steven Meckley, Derell Nadzam, Zach Osche and Bradley Timko.Tiger Cub Den achievements went to Malique Nadzam, Nicolas Samms, Cory Schreckengost, Gunner Szymkowiak and Austin Uric.Pack 557 meetings are held the 3rd Monday of each month at the Buffalo Township Fire Hall.---
At the Sept. 13 Court of Honor, <b>Boy Scout Troop 310</b>, Slippery Rock, presented awards to the following members:Badges of rank went to <b>Jesse Koller, Kyle Brendlinger, Shane Kelly,</b> and <b>Jason Anna</b>.Scouts who attended summer camp at Camp Bucoco earned 71 merit badges overall.The Order of the Arrow called out <b>Dylan Truman, Brendlinger, Koller, Michael Magliocca </b> and <b>Anthony Miller</b>. <b>Tyler Truman</b> was awarded the Brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow.---
The <b>Keystone Tall Tree Girl Scout</b> Council is offering an Adult Play Day on from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 15 at Brockway Junior/Senior High School.More than 30 different workshops will be offered to adults (Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts) and Senior Girl Scouts, ages 14 to 17, who hold leadership positions in their troop, service unit/neighborhood or in the council.Topics will range from exploring the solar system to making homemade soaps, learning how to be prepared for natural disasters and many others.Cost is $6.50 per person. Some workshops have an additional fee to cover the cost of supplies. Boxed lunches will be available for $4 per person or you may bring your own lunch.Deadline for registration is Oct. 5.---
<b>Keystone Tall Tree Girl Scout Council </b> has named <b>JoAnn Clark </b>of Boyers as membership marketing executive and <b>Janet Boll</b> of Renfrew, as program/outreach specialist for its membership and program team stationed out of the council's Kittanning office.Promoted to membership, Clark previously served as program/outreach specialist for five years. Clark's task will be to implement both girl and adult membership recruitment and retention strategies. She will be working to develop the under-served areas of Butler and Armstrong counties and part of Westmoreland County.Boll will work to provide interesting and diverse program opportunities based on Girl Scout values. Boll graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis with a bachelor's of science in interdisciplinary studies focusing on psychology and youth ministries.
