PennDOT plans work on county roads next week
PennDOT crews will be performing maintenance on various roads throughout the county during the week of May 13.
Interstate 79 will be mowed and patched in various places, according to a news release. Crews also will flush bridge decks on the highway.
In Connoquenessing and Franklin townships, shoulder cutting will be performed on Prospect, Country Lane and Dick roads.
Crews will be patching the following roads: Pittsburgh Road; New Castle Road; Three Degree Road in Penn and Forward townships; Benbrook Road in Center Township; Eau Claire Road in Mercer Township; and West Sunbury Road in Marion Township.
Drainage work will be completed on the following roads: Renfrew Road in Penn Township, Prospect Road in Forward Township, Cemetery Road in Marion Township, Eau Claire Road in Mercer Township, Little Creek Road in Lancaster Township and Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township.
Leveling will be completed on Meridian Road in Butler Township, Creek Road in Penn Township, and West Road in Adams and Middlesex townships.
Along Pittsburgh and Glade Mill Roads, which run through several townships, crews will conduct bridge cleanings.
Glade Mill Road in Middlesex Township and Route 19 in Muddy Creek Township will be mowed.
