Mars Elementary School students were named winners in the 2017-18 Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest.

Students are fourth-graders Sara Biaggini and Carter Snyder; third-graders Emilia Carrabba, Camden Hoffman, Mei Lien Mansfield and Gabriella Rossi; and second-graders Sage Mahan and Abigail Schirato.

The students' posters are among 46 selected from more than 800 entries in this year's contest, which challenged students to create posters that promote safe and healthy alternatives to underage drinking.

All winners will be recognized at a ceremony at 10:30 a.m. April 10 at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. The winning posters will be on display at the museum, April 9 to 13.
