Douglas L. Emerick

Douglas L. Emerick, 51, of Saxonburg passed away Saturday at his home.

Born Oct. 24, 1964, in Butler, he was the son of George Brady Emerick Sr. and Martha Jane (Parker) Emerick.

He worked as a truck driver and roofer.

As a young man, Doug accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Doug's battles in life were many, but he always knew victory belonged to God through the redemptive blood of Jesus and that he was promised eternal life in Heaven. Doug enjoyed playing guitar and carpentry.

Surviving are his father, George Brady Emerick Sr. of Butler; his siblings, Theresa (James) Elder of Butler, Darla Sue (Gary) Hougg of Kittanning, Lee Ann (Dean) Fain of Petersburg, Ohio, Kathy (Robert) Marks of Russellton and George B. Emerick Jr. of Butler; his wife, Julie Emerick of Cleveland, Texas; his children, Brandi Earley of Lima, Ohio, Amanda Emerick of Cridersville, Ohio, Crystal (Joe) Ostendorf of Elida, Ohio, Robert (Adrian) Keller of Texas, Matthew Keller of Butler, Katie Emerick of Cleveland, Texas, and Doug Emerick Jr. of Cleveland, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jane (Parker) Emerick.
