State police are investigating after a vehicle hit a house in Fairview Township and fled the scene Saturday evening, May 18.

The crash occurred around 11 p.m. at 1716 Kittanning Pike, according to police.

Police said an unknown vehicle was traveling north on the road when its tire assembly came off. The vehicle then struck the house and caused significant damage before the driver drove it away, a news release said.
