Barbara J. Roberts, 51, of Butler passed away Tuesday at her home after a battle with cancer.

She was born March 28, 1958, in Butler, the daughter of Gayle (Ellsworth) Heckman of Butler and the late Glenn J. Heckman.

Barbara was a member of North Street Christian Church.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her dog, Simon.

She was a carrier for the Butler Eagle for seven years.

Surviving are her mother, Gayle Heckman of Butler; her close friend, Sherry Covert of Butler; a special friend, Martin Stroup of Butler; and an aunt and uncle, Thomas and Phyllis Anderson of Greensburg.

She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Scott Roberts.
