Terrence L. Blair Sr.

Terrence L. "Terry" Blair Sr., 61, of Cabot died Friday at his residence.

Born June 30, 1946, in Turkey City, he was the son of Charles W. Blair Sr. and Hazel Shaner Blair Guthrie.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1984 after 20 years, having served in Vietnam, Korea and Europe. He then worked as a contracting officer at the Butler VA Medical Center, retiring in May.

He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Cabot, treasurer for the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 64 in Butler, Saxonburg VFW Post 7376 and the VA Bowling League.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen (Bowser) Blair, whom he married Sept. 11, 1965; two sons, Terrance L. "Terry" Blair Jr. of Pittsburgh and James L. Blair of Butler; a daughter, Susan (Christopher) McGrady of Chicora; a brother, Charles W. Blair Jr. of Butler; two sisters, Carol Donovan and Diane Blair of Connecticut; and six grandchildren, Terrance Lee Blair III, Kaycee Marie Blair, Madison McGrady, Logan Blair, Jullian Blair and Casey Lynn Peterson.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Barbara Romanish.

<B>BLAIR —</B> Friends of Terrance L. "Terry" Blair, who died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>FOXFUNERALHOME</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 1728, Butler, PA 16003.
