CHERRY TWP — The Moniteau School Board Monday night approved the 2016-2017 budget for the Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School.

The school district’s contribution to the 2016-2017 vo-tech budget will be about $233,000. That is about $27,000 less than what was paid this school year. This year’s portion of the vo-tech budget was $260,000.

Nine school districts participate in the vo-tech, and a minimum of five districts must approve the budget for it to go into effect.
