Frank Robert King
Frank Robert King, 89, of Butler died Saturday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Formerly he lived on Graham Road.
Born March 2, 1921, in Butler, he was the son of Frank and Julia (Kantor) King, who are deceased.
Mr. King was retired from Heasley and Rivers Plastering, where he worked as a plasterer.
He was a member of the former Calvary United Presbyterian Church and of the VFW.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served during World War II in the South Pacific.
Mr. King enjoyed collecting coins and stamps and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan.
Mr. King is survived by his wife, Suzanne Halahurich King, who he married on April 2, 1945. He also is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Swartout and her husband William; three sons, Robert King and his wife, Barbara, James King and his wife, Deborah, and Frank David King and his wife, Karen, all of Butler. In addition, he is survived by two granddaughters, four grandsons, three great- granddaughters, five great-grandsons and four nieces. One sister, Mary Ann Foulk of Butler, survives him.
Mr. King was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Bonus.
