Agnes I. McCluskey
Agnes “Ag” I. McCluskey, 88, of East Brady died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital while under the superb care of VNA Hospice Services.
Born July 6, 1922, in East Brady, she was the daughter William I. and Mary E. (DeCorte) McGinnis.
She was a devout Catholic.
Mrs. McCluskey was an East Brady High School graduate and worked in aircraft manufacturing during World War II.
She volunteered her time at East Brady Heights, was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan and belonged to American Legion Auxiliary Post 488 of Bradys Bend.
She was a member of the St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, where she belonged to the ladies guild.
Surviving are a son, Gary A. McCluskey of East Brady; a daughter, Patricia Lowery and her husband, David, of Sarasota, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Michelle, Jerry, Jonah, Jennifer, Brian and Lindsay. Also surviving is a brother, John E. McGinnis of Worthington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. McCluskey, who she married Aug. 6, 1948, and who died Sept. 1, 1986; a daughter, Lynn Grystar; and two brothers, Richard McGinnis and William McGinnis.
<B>MCCLUSKEY</B> — Friends of Agnes “Ag” I. McCluskey, who died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, East Brady, with the Rev. William Kuba, administrator of St. Eusebius Church, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Eusebius Cemetery.A parish prayer service was at 3:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the VNA Friends of Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001
