Lawrence Leasure

Lawrence R. Leasure, 62, of Butler passed away peacefully at 12:15 a.m. Friday in VA Butler Healthcare.

He was born Nov. 24, 1948, in New Castle to the late Paul W. Leasure and Grace Naomi (Parish) Leasure.

Mr. Leasure was a mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Butler, retiring after 30 years.

He was a 1966 graduate of Butler High School.

Mr. Leasure was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the American Legion 117, and the Italian and Elks clubs. Mr. Leasure enjoyed golf, bowling, watching sports and making everyone laugh.

Mr. Leasure is survived by the love of his life, Shirley Ann Cammisa; two sons, Matthew Leasure and Brent Leasure and his wife, Christina, both of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Paul Leasure; three sisters, Kathleen Haunty and her husband, David, Sandra Burke and Joanne Sullivan and her husband, John; and by a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Leasure.

<B>LEASURE</B> — Friends of Lawrence R. Leasure, who died Friday, July 1, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
