Brent Alan Miller

Brent Alan Miller, 53, of Allegheny Township died at 7 a.m. Thursday at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Born March 1, 1952, in Butler, he was a son of Margaret "Peggy" Martin Miller Cook and the late Harold J. Miller, who died Oct. 27, 1986.

He was a 1970 graduate of Moniteau High School and had worked at General Electric in Grove City and Joy Manufacturing in Franklin. He also did construction work in Texas and then became an over-the-road truck driver until ill health forced his retirement.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church of Eau Claire.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and being in the woods around his family's farm in Butler County.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Luce Miller; two daughters, Michelle Lee McDonald and Melissa E. Miller, both of Hubbard, Ohio; two sons, Brent Lee and William George Miller, both at home; and a grandson, Michael McDonald of Hubbard.

He also is survived by his mother, Peggy Cook and her husband, Bill, of Eau Claire; a sister, Tracy Weeter of Knox; a niece; and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steven McDonald, who died in Sept. 2005.

MILLER — Friends of Brent Alan Miller, who died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Main Street, Route 38, Eau Claire. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Eau Claire Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the VNA-Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, Pa. 16001.
