Seneca Valley Senior High School
The Seneca Valley Senior High School commencement was held at 6 p.m. May 30 at NexTier Stadium.
The student speakers were Lihini Ranaweera, Shivani Umesh and Taryn Wilson.
■ Lihini is the daughter of Samantha and Nilu Ranaweera, of Cranberry Township. She was the student council treasurer, captain of the varsity girls golf team, co-captain of the CyberPatriot team, vice president of the Computer Science Club, and a member of the Academic Games team, Science Honor Society and National Honor Society.
She plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania to study computer science.
■ Shivani is the daughter of Umeshkumar Rajasekaran and Hemamalini Balasundaram, of Cranberry Township. She was Academic Decathalon president, a researcher at the Seneca Valley Center for Biotechnology Research and president of the Science Honor Society.
She plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania to study at the College of Arts & Sciences.
■ Taryn is the daughter of Trent and Amy Wilson, of Cranberry Township. She was student council president, captain of the varsity swim team, student athlete leadership team representative, HOPE Squad representative, Swim Club volunteer coach, and a member of GeneTech 3.0 in the Center for Biotechnology Research and the wind ensemble.
She plans to attend the University of Notre Dame to study chemical engineering.
Senior class officers are Vincenzo DiTullio, president; Brynn Aloi, vice president; Sarah McCullough, secretary; and Katie Mack, treasurer.
