Raymond J. Richter
Raymond J. Richter, 74, of Butler passed away Thursday at his residence following an illness.
Born July 17, 1940, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Hughes) Richter Sr.
He was employed as an auto mechanic by Bauman's Compute-A-Line in Cabot, dedicating more than 50 years of service.
He enjoyed fishing.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jean (Kress) Richter, they were married Feb. 13, 1965; three children, Christopher (Leeann) Richter of Butler, Kathleen Ann (Daniel Bowen) Richter of Butler and Amy Lynn (John) Burd of Lakeside, Calif.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Murphy of Santee, Calif.; a brother, Gary Richter of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
RICHTER — Friends of Raymond J. Richter, who died Thursday, July 16, 2015, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St. in Butler and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at John F. Slater Funeral Home, 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh.A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Slater Funeral Home.Interment will follow at Southside Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
