Mars to host space-inspired camp for high schoolers
Go For Launch!, a STEM-focused student program, is coming to Mars next week, offering high schoolers the opportunity to engage in space-inspired activities under the guidance of aerospace professionals and a former astronaut.
Wendy Lawrence, a retired NASA astronaut and Navy captain, will be featured during the program, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from June 24 to June 26.
The three-day camp is open to students in grades 8-12. Students, including rising 8th graders and recently graduated seniors, are welcome regardless of where they reside.
Registration can be completed online at higherorbits.org/events/go-for-launch-mars-pa-2024/. The registration fee is $200. Financial aid is available.
The program will take place at 170 Scharberry Lane, Mars.
