Mickey J. Young
Mickey J. Young, 44, of Chicora passed away at 12:30 a.m. Saturday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born on July 14, 1969, in Butler to Dennis D. Young and the late Judy A. (Blatt) Young.
Mickey was a 1987 graduate of Butler High School, and he worked as a tax accountant for H&R Block in Butler.
He was a member of the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, going to the beach, traveling and making friends.
Mickey is survived by his father, Dennis D. Young and his wife, Nancy, of Chicora; one brother, Chad R. Young of Lutz, Fla.; his grandmother, Mildred Blatt of Chicora; a special cousin, Patty Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy A. (Blatt) Young; and his grandparents, Roy and June Young and George Blatt.
YOUNG — Friends of Mickey J. Young, who passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
