Guys coming back to grill

Butler Township is hosting the second “Guys who Grill” event at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Preston Park.

Several male personalities from the Butler area will cook a dish for attendees, including Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe, Butler Mayor Bob Dandoy, Jeff Double of All About Reclaimed and Dr. Thomas Shetter.

There are categories for sides, entrees and desserts. Each participant is encouraged to grill a popular or unique dish for the event. Cost of admission includes dinner, music and the opportunity to take part in a game, as well as the chance to win a Lil’ Luigi Pizza Oven donated by Martin Sales & Service. Attendees can also vote for the People’s Choice Award winner.

The event benefits the Butler Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation and its Kids’ Weekend Backpack Program.

Tickets are on sale at the Butler Township Municipal Building and Cummings Coffee & Candy-West for $20 for in advance. Tickets at the door will be $25. For more details, visit Butlertwp.org.
