Philomena L. “Minnie” Bucci

Philomena L. “Minnie” Bucci

Philomena L. “Minnie” Bucci, 97, of Cranberry Township passed away on Wednesday.

Born Nov. 23, 1920, in Etna, she was the daughter of the late Lena Nussbaumer.

Minnie was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.

Minnie's pride and joy were her children and her home. She was a meticulous housekeeper and her famous saying among family was, “it's easier to clean a clean house than a dirty one.”

Minnie was a sweet lady who loved to play all games, especially gin rummy with her friend, Connie. For years, one could always find her at night at the bingo hall. Her absolute favorite pastime was her trips to the casino with her daughter.

An independent woman of many talents, she painted in oils, crocheted and created many crafts. Being industrious as she was, Minnie started working again in her late 70s and held part-time jobs at Target and SAE.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She is survived by her daughter, Carole A. (Don) Faust of Harmony; her son, James A. (Lynnrose) Bucci Jr., of Greenville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Bucci; her daughter, Alice Fay Lehner; and her son, Charles E. Bucci.
