Helen E. Smith
Helen E. Smith, 64, of 727 Roup Ave., Brackenridge, died Friday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison Township.
She was born Aug. 22, 1944, in Brackenridge, to the late Roy E. Salser and the late Eva (Black) Salser.
She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Brackenridge. She also was a home health care aide for a number of years.
Mrs. Smith was a Protestant and attended the Springdale Open Bible Church. She was a former member of the Tarentum VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She studied at FPM Data Processing in New Kensington. She enjoyed crafting, shopping in Connecticut with her best friend, Cathy Clark, and playing cards with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Mervin L. "Smitty" Smith; her daughters, Lisa J. (Ronald) Weiner of New Kensington and Amy S. Schrag of Ford City; her sons, Dale Schrag Jr. of Brackenridge and Roy E. (Holly) Schrag of Tarentum; her grandchildren, Tara L. (Jonathan) Jones, Charles Bryner, Ryan Bryner, Paige E. Schrag, Kaila S. Miller, Olivia M. Schrag and Dean E. Schrag; a great-granddaughter, Hailie M. Novak; and a nephew, Kevin E. Koedel.
